Step One: Consultation
Empire Ramps travels to the client's residence where we discuss the need for barrier free living and take photographs and measurements of the area where the ramp will be installed. This face-to-face consultation ensures the customer is included in the design process. Once a clear understanding of the constomer’s needs is documented and the design area is recorded, we proceed to the ramp design phase of the project.
Step Two: Design Phase
In the design stage, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software is used to design the ramp and virtually install it into the client’s house to ensure design sizing and esthetics of the product will meet their needs. At the end of the design phase the product is rendered into high quality images and presented to the customer for approval prior to ramp assembly.
Step Three: Manufacturing Phase
The manufacturing stage of Empire Ramps’ service is the physical construction of the accessibility ramp. A unique service to our customers, is that Empire Ramps does not physically construct the ramp on site. Since our design stage is done to such precise detailing, we do not require the site itself to construct the ramp. This allows our customers to go about their day without the interruption of loud construction equipment at their home. The ramps will be constructed in our workshop that is equipped with all the tools and machinery needed to produce a professional grade accessibility ramp. Once the ramp is fully constructed in our workshop, it is then transported to the client’s household and installed by Empire Ramps
Step Four: Installation Phase
The installation stage of the service is relatively quick and hassle-free for the customer. The ramp is transported to the customer’s household and installed into the designated area determined in the design phase of the project. To ensure the maximum safety and satifaction from our customers, Empire Ramps constructs and installs our ramps to meet and exceed Ontario Building Code (OBC) standards.
